Jacky Balestrino Art: her story in her own words:
"I lived in New Jersey most of my life and moved to Florida when I retired from the advertising world.
I always remember as a child that all I did was draw and paint. I won several awards in high school and spent all my extra time with in the art room.
After high school I attend Phoenix School of Design, New York City on a full scholarship, and received a degree in Art and Advertising.
After a successful thirty five year career in the design field, and having raised my son and put him through college, I decided that it was now time for me to get back into what I loved to do and did not have the time for so many years. I wanted to paint again and I decided that it was time to retire and start working on painting. I loved working with oils in art school, so I choose these media to work with.
I strive to show that oils can be bold, rich and dramatic. My
work is usually a particular subject such as large flowers, which I love to paint in brilliant colors."
