This is artist Marie Hubbard next to her "Red Sunflower". Notice the attractive shading near the center of the flower. Marie also has done works showing well the pastel tones in street scenes on the Island of St. Croix where she vacations with her family. The sunflower was chosen for this site because of the attention getting color and shading within the flower. Marie and Gloria Schulz (on Home page) are great friends who paint together on a regular basis.

This is art league member Miriam McCue sitting in front of her house before the hurricane. (House still there. Dune is damaged). On the right is one of her favorite works, "Diva". The Diva was inspired by Miriam's trips to New York City. Notice the Chrysler Building on the right seen through the window. She says her "Diva" was also inspired by the confident attitude of fellow art league member Gloria Schulz. .. Miriam has her own web page, www.flamingoart.net . Push the web site address to see her work.
