Although Susanne is multidimensional in her artistic approach, we have chosen to show below her "Solar Plate Etchings" and technique which she showed us at one of our meetings.

Susanne Tierney Artists Statement:

"I see these paintings as a visual journal that re-presents ideas that are conjured from mythologies both collective and personal. I recall the way I feel when I am reading a text; as the words come to life in my mind, imagined space comes into existence.  In this space dialogue breathes.  In my paintings I search for that same visual language."

Susanne received her MFA from the University of Connecticut in 1999 and her BFA from Rhode Island College in 1996.  The artist was born Rhode Island.

Eleanor Eaton, member since 2007 of the St. Lucie Professional Arts League, is also a member of the Art Society of Old Greenwich, Connecticut.  She was fortunate to have a career in drafting that allowed her to spend time drawing plans in pencil or pen.  Eleanor takes her own photos and interprets them in watercolor.  She paints what she knows best: local scenes, both in Connecticut and Florida.
